this is the entry where I whine alot
Today I learned (a week before classes start) that my file and application for finaical aid has been sitting on the dean's desk for the last four months because she wants to talk to me and my advisor about my class choices but not enough, apparently, to let me know via phone, email or mail.

I've signed up for the Sherlock gift exchange over on Johnlock Challenges. It's been a long time since I felt excited to write something. I forgot how great that little spike of adrenaline is, when there's a deadline and a recipient waiting on the other side of a blank word document.

Crab Status: Consumed!
Yesterday I got to handle an octopus. It was awesome. Today is for lazying around in pajamas, eating rum cordials and Oreos. Gmail tells me I have a million unread messages. I might get to them today. Or I might move out onto the balcony and write Sherlock fic.
