Well what we really want is for you to get control of your headspace despite it's presence. If focusing away from it isn't working try focusing on it or into it.

A little counterintuitive, maybe. It certainly could work as a focus though. Fighting against the current is a lot harder than going with it.

It's supposed to help you learn to concentrate so you're not constantly distracted by it. You've been trying to push the noise out in an effort to silence it but that hasn't worked and I have a feeling it's not going to any time soon. It might work better to incorporate the noise into your thoughts and guide it.
