their convo during fourth wall was kind of awkward and he's not really sure how to handle her because she's a type of nosy that makes him nervous all around. the ability to let people know on his own terms is important to him so aaaat this point he's still trying to get a solid read on her and a little reluctant to let her get too close. he doesn't feel the most okay about her living with them atm but he won't go and kick her out because well gosh that's rude. :(

Jaime and Sollux have probably at least met, since he goes to the hive sometimes. I don't think they would have talked too much. Jaime thinks of him as Karkat's friend who's kind of weird and uh is he wearing mismatched shoes on purpose? Sollux doesn't really get why Terezi picked a human for a moirail but w/e if she's happy then good for her I guess.

okay the part where Hanna implied he didn't really have friends was kind of. the saddest thing he's ever said to him because a) Hanna is the type of person who deserves them, even if he's a screwup, and b) Conrad knows he is kind of a terrible friend and an unnecessary jerk a lot of the time. he has honestly been wondering if part of why Hanna puts up with all his shitty behaviour is because he's not used to expecting better. idk I kind of assume his friends back home challenge him when he's being a gigantic douchebag about something and Hanna tends to... not do that, he gets awkward and sometimes quiet (and when he apologizes it is the worst because Conrad knows the last thing he deserves is an apology). IDK TL;DR that was KIND OF SAD and now he feels like a butt a bit, the end.

ESPECIALLY RE: THIS CONVERSATION, Hanna just... kind of tends to forget sometimes that Conrad's ~supernatural situation~ is different than his because Conrad actually has a life he has to fit back into and has to be honest about things and it's obviously bothering him a lot, but Hanna really doesn't know what to say because. WELL. He dealt with his horrible paranormal run-in by freaking out, cutting all ties, shutting down and then eventually acting like nothing is wrong but Conrad still has friends and family he's connected to so he can't do that and IT'S ALL SO COMPLICATED. Predictably whenever any of that comes up Hanna sort of goes into an internal shame spiral of WHELP I FUCKED UP AGAIN NOW LOOK WHAT HE HAS TO DEAL WITH i am the worst at everything /)_(\

BUT Jaime is the type of person who does well with authority figures (for the most part) and camp isn't really a place with tons of people willing to actively act as one. back home his family especially has been a huge source of support with everything going on. being in camp for as long as he has and being expected to find that primarily in your peers is... okay, but it's not even close to the same thing. so, I don't know. it's kind of nice to have someone around who seems pretty okay with listening (and sharing) from a point of experience and that he knows would probably give him a lecture if he really fucked up. even the way he reacted to being told about everything kind of reminded him of his parents ("there's this weird thing in my spine" "well you should see a doctor about it before anything") and... idk idk idk. it's something he's missed and it's kind of nice. even if it's coming from a space vigilante from the future.

Garrus is really concerned about the thing in Jaime's spine. It's an alien A.I. designed to turn you into a horrible super weapon and ... hey that's what happened to Saren. Fortunately the Reach just sound like more douchey batarians and not Reapers, but he still thinks that they are a menace and the right thing for Jaime to do is somehow reverse engineer the tech so that it can be disabled for him and for any other things like it. Ronan assured him that the scarab is trying to be good, so Garrus isn't as insistent on this point as he could be

I don't think there's been a ton that's changed recently! the scarab's been kind of freaking out at everything going on and Jaime still doesn't know how to articulate this stuff to Rico without feeling massively awkward after words come out so... I guess that's a thing? IT WILL PROBABLY ALWAYS BE A THING. idk really I just want to thread more in general, we should get on that. /grabbyhands
