Character

Name: Konatsu Warren
Fandom: 07-Ghost [manga-verse]
Gender: Male
Age: Approx. 18
Time Period: Manga timeline, around chapter 28.
Wing Color: Goldenrod
History: Konatsu doesn't have a whole lot of revealed history, despite having his own chapter, but you can find it here [approx. 3/5 of the way down the page], and
here. [This last link is half anime, and thus half is not relevent. If you'd like me to write it all myself, just let me know!]
Personality: For most of his life, Konatsu was a very serious, withdrawn boy. Shunned by family and classmates, he was always filled with a great sense of determination to prove that he was different from those who seemed to do nothing but make his life more difficult, different from the ill-omened child that his family considered him to be.

Though his determination was shaken a time or two, in the end it was through that and an incredible desire to never give up that got him to the position in the Black Hawks that would change his life. Though he is easily frustrated with his superior officer, Hyuuga and his lack of drive to do his own work, being with them taught Konatsu how to live and enjoy his life. For the first time, he found people who actually felt something like a family. Even if this new family has some members who drive him up the wall rather easily.

Konatsu is very polite and respectful to his superiors, more than willing to follow any order, and do many tasks that should more often than not be someone else's responsibility. This can be seen in how he's quite the little secretary for the Black Hawks, doing most if not all of Hyuuga's paperwork as well as his own work. Also, though he dislikes killing, whether the circumstances be war or otherwise, he will still fight to his utmost.

His respect extends past his superiors in some cases, as shown by how he lashes out with a fist at Shuri, who was disrespecting the dead soldiers of Antwort, though they were enemies that he himself had killed in battle. He has an ungodly high tolerance for stupidity in it's various forms, but disrespect is one of the things that can push past that. He can, however, be pushed beyond the limit of his tolerance by an overabundance of insanity on levels ranging from Hyuuga's irresponsibility to Shuri's unbelievable level of idiocy.

When all's said and done, however, Konatsu is one of the most normal members of the Black Hawks. Certainly one of the most approachable.

Strengths: Konatsu is crazy strong. No, really. In canon he can slice straight through...well...a cannon. And people. With almost insane scary ease with a sword. He also has the ability to use zaiphon, though within Luceti that will be sealed away, at the very least until more manga canon information on what type he uses is available.

He can take a large amount of damage before he's no longer able to fight, and has enough determination in him to fight straight until he loses consciousness. In the case of his first duel with Hyuuga, he even has some fight in him once that limit's been reached, shown when he falls unconscious in a duel against Hyuuga and lashes out to grab his throat when the other comes over to check on him.

His dislike of killing can also be considered a strength, though perhaps not in battle. It shows that his sense of right and wrong is still very much intact, even in the middle of a battlefield. This can make him a far easier person to relate to, when compared with people who seem to enjoy killing.

Weaknesses: Konatsu is unable to use warsfeil. This might not seem like such a large weakness at first, but the use of zaiphon is limited to one's innate ability and can be countered. This was also a source of mental and emotional weakness for him in the past, when the lack of this ability nearly cost him what he was striving to obtain.

He dislikes killing. However much it can be seen as a strength, it is often taken as a sign of weakness in a soldier, and can cast doubt upon their ability to follow orders. This does not, in fact, hinder his ability to follow orders, but it does leave him with a pain and regret inside that he seems unable to shake immediately after a battle, as is shown when he has a terrified Shuri with him as the enemy soldiers are steadily covered by snow, wanting the sadness to disappear as quickly as the bodies were.

He isn't quite as physically strong, or as fast, as Hyuuga is. This is seen in how badly he loses their first duel, as well as him being injured, even if only slightly, in the battle against Antwort's soldiers, whereas Hyuuga is entirely unharmed. Though this weakness often makes little difference in canon, it can possibly cause problems in Luceti due to the far wider range of potential enemies.

His ability to scold Hyuuga about doing his own paperwork, and then promptly doing it for him. It never accomplishes what he wants it to, since in the end his respect for Hyuuga and desire to not ruin his reputation in any way keeps him from leaving his superior to his own devices when it comes to slacking on the paperwork.

Samples

First Person: 1. Describe what the word 'honor' means to you. Honor means to be true to myself, to not disrespect anyone on the battlefield who loses their life, even if they're an enemy.

2. How do you think you perform in a crisis? I perform however I must. I wont crumble under pressure. As a soldier I can't let myself do that.

3. What would you call your greatest strength? My greatest strength probably lies in my ability to put up with Lieutenant Hyuuga. He hardly takes things seriously, sometimes even Ayanami-sama isn't happy with him.

4. What, in your opinion, is your greatest asset? My greatest asset would be my swordsmanship. I may not compare to the Lieutenant, but I was undefeated in my graduating class.

5. If there is one thing about yourself that you could change, what would it be? I'm content with how I am now. But if I absolutely had to choose, I'd have to say that I want to be able to use warsfeil like the others. If it would make me more useful to them, to Ayanami-sama, then that's what I would change.

Third Person: One thing was for sure, Konatsu wasn't in Hohburg Fortress anymore. In fact, he was quite well surrounded by snow and trees. Neither of which could be found anywhere near the office that the Black Hawks shared. As he pushed himself to his feet, bare feet, he registered in the back of his mind, he had only one urgent question on his mind. Just where was he? It was highly unlikely that he had been abducted from the middle of a fortress. Especially with the other Black Hawks around. Surely someone would have done something!

He shifted in place as he glanced around, arms crossed tightly over his chest as he shivered in the cold. Whoever had taken him here had his clothes as well. But as disturbing as that thought was, he'd noticed something far more odd, something was seriously wrong with his balance.

"What happened to me...?" he mumbled aloud as he shifted just enough to look over his shoulder. He froze. Not from the cold, however, but from the sight of something that was not supposed to be there. How did he get wings?! They even seemed to be attached to his skin, no harness to be seen. Or felt. What was worse, his eyes widened at the realization, he could even move them!

This wasn't funny anymore. Nevermind that it had been funny to begin with. He wanted to get out of this place, and he wanted it now. A shake of his head and a deep breath served to calm Konatsu's racing thoughts for a moment. Who had he been with in the moments before this? If anyone, they would be the most likely to be around him now. It was a long shot...but hey, it was still worth a shot.

"Is anyone out there? Lieutenant Hyuuga? Captain Katsuragi?" he called into the quiet, his echo his only response. Great, just great. Konatsu sighed unhappily as he simply picked a direction and began to stiffly make his way through the snow. In the back of his unhappy mind there remained one thing like a beacon that kept him going. If this was Hyuuga's fault, there would be some serious explaining to do. Superior or not.
