Title: Cake
Pairing: Sungmin/Donghae, mentioned Kyumin and Eunhae
Word Count: 685
Theme: 052. Cake Sungmin/Donghae
Summary: Sungmin and Donghae bake a cake in celebration of special events.
“Sungmin, can you help me bake a cake?”
“Sure, Hae. I was about to bake one myself.” Sungmin smiled and started pulling out ingredients: flour, eggs, milk, butter, sugar, vanilla, salt, baking powder.
Sungmin frowned. There wasn’t anything to decorate the cakes with.
“Hae, there’s nothing to decorate the cakes with once we’re done.” Sungmin smiled. “Let’s go shopping.”
Donghae smiled. “Alright.”
Sungmin and Donghae wandered around the supermarket, buying frosting and fruits to decorate their cakes with. They came back to the dorm, smiling and laughing.
They went into the kitchen and started to bake.
After three hours, Sungmin and Donghae had baked three cakes, two small ones and a large cake.
“YAY! They look so delicious. I want to eat them. But why did you make another one?” Sungmin slapped Donghae’s hand away.
“Hey. No touching. Remember, we have to decorate them first. Besides, weren’t you going to give that to someone special?”
“Oh right. Let’s decorate them then.”
Donghae and Sungmin spent the next half hour decorating their individual cakes.
Sungmin’s cake was pink with white hearts around it. He carefully wrote a message on top of the cake.
Donghae’s cake was white with strawberries arranged into a heart. He attempted to draw a little monkey and fishy on the side of the cake but ultimately failed.
When they were done, they presented their masterpieces to each other.
“Oh, that’s so cute, Hae.”
“Oo…that’s so pretty, Minnie.”
“Who are you giving your cake to?”
“Who are you giving your cake to?”
Sungmin blushed. “Kyuhyun.”
“Aww, that’s cute.”
“Who are you giving yours to, Hae?”
“The monkey.” Donghae smiled.
“Now that’s cute, Hae.” Sungmin and Donghae laughed.
“Want to go give them the cakes now?”
“Not yet. I have one more I need to decorate. You want to help me?”
“Sure. Who’s it for?”
“All the members.”
“Oo…okay.”
For the next hour, Donghae and Sungmin worked together, decorating the cake for the members.
The cake was covered in sapphire blue frosting. They made a heart with the fruit and inside they had written Super Junior in big letters. Along the sides, they scribbled each member’s name.
They smiled as they admired their handiwork.
“Alright, now to leave a note for the members. And then we’ll go deliver our cakes.” Sungmin smiled. He grabbed a piece of paper and quickly scribbled a message. He folded it in half, addressed it to Leeteuk, and placed it right by the cake. He set the cake and note in the middle of the table. He then turned around and picked up his cake. Donghae did the same thing.
“Alright, I’m off to give this to Kyu.”
“Alright, I’m going to give this to Hyukkie.”
“See you in a few hours.” Donghae and Sungmin smiled and winked at each other before walking down the hall to their different rooms, cakes in hand.
The other members returned home from their various schedules. Shindong was the first to notice the cake.
“Oooo cake.” Shindong was about to dig into it when a hand stopped him.
“Wait, there’s a note.”
Super Junior, for all the great work you do, Donghae and Sungmin baked you a cake. Enjoy. Saranghae. :D
“Aww, that’s so sweet.”
“Come on. Let’s dig in.” Shindong and Kangin started bringing out plates and utensils.
“Wait, shouldn’t we wait for Donghae and Sungmin to get here before we start eating it?”
“Oh you’re right. We probably should. That would be the right thing to do.”
“Uh…I don’t think they’ll mind if we eat it without them.” Everyone turned to look at Yesung. “I think they’re a little preoccupied right now and won’t be here for a few hours. Just go ahead and eat it.”
The members shrugged their shoulders and began to cut the cake. Ryeowook walked over to Yesung. “Are you okay hyung? You sure they won’t mind?”
Yesung looked down the hall and back at Ryeowook. A small smile formed on his lips. “Yeah…I’m sure they won’t mind at all.” Then he smiled brightly at Ryeowook. “Come on. Let’s go get some cake before it’s all gone.”
A/N: I think I will write the individual side stories to this later...after I finish writing some other stories first (got so much to write, may have a slight delay on fic requests...depending on my mood of course XD)
