Theme: 078. Sickness Kangin/Kyuhyun
Summary: Kyuhyun is wasting away with only Kangin left to watch helplessly.
“It sucks…this sickness I have.” Kyuhyun’s eyes teared up at he stared at his reflection in the mirror. His face looked hollow and thin. He had lost a lot of weight. He was practically a skeleton, a shell of his former self.
“It’s alright, Kyuhyun. It’s not that bad.” Kangin gently patted Kyuhyun’s back.
Kyuhyun scoffed. “Oh don’t lie to me. Not to my face. I’m looking at myself right now. I look like death. There’s nothing you can do, nothing anyone can do. That’s why he left me…”
The tears spilled down Kyuhyun’s face. His shoulders shook with the force of his emotion.
Kangin looked at Kyuhyun helpless.
It’s been six months since Kyuhyun was diagnosed with this disease. As his health and body had deteriorated, almost all his friends and family had left as well. They just couldn’t bring themselves to look at Kyuhyun or be around him. He had been full of life and watching it just slowly leave him was killing them as well.
Now only Kangin was left. Kangin couldn’t bear leaving Kyuhyun alone at this point of his life. Kyuhyun had no one left. It was unfair to leave him alone in this state.
Kangin looked at Kyuhyun. The tears had subsided but his body was still shaking. Kangin came over, gently sitting on the bed so he didn’t jostle Kyuhyun too much, and carefully pulled Kyuhyun into his embrace.
“Shhh…shhh…it’s alright. Everything will be okay…”
Kyuhyun rested his head on Kangin’s shoulder. Kangin’s gentle stroking was helping to calm him down. Soon enough his eyes closed and he slipped away into the darkness.
Kangin looked down at Kyuhyun. He gave a small sad smile and kissed Kyuhyun’s forehead. He gently laid him down on the bed and slipped out of the room.

Kangin stared down at the grave. He felt someone come up next to him.
“Was he happy?”
Kangin turned and saw Sungmin, eyes red with tears in his eyes. “Now he’s happy.”
He gave Sungmin a small smile and opened his arms.
Sungmin went into his arms and cried his little heart out.
Kangin looked to the sky and thought he could make out Kyuhyun’s face smiling down at them. He gave him a smile as he gently patted Sungmin’s back.
Kyuhyun nodded his head before his face disappeared into the clouds.
“Come on, Sungmin. Let’s get you home.” Kangin led Sungmin away, but not before leaving a small token on Kyuhyun’s grave.
The flower left on Kyuhyun’s grave gently swayed in the breeze as it watched Kangin take Sungmin home. As soon as they left, the wind picked up and blew the flower away, up into the clouds, into Kyuhyun’s waiting arms.
A/N: oh gawd what is this that I have written? O_O I typically don’t write this type of angsty stuff but it helps with the slightly depressing feelings I had :T I can’t believe I did this though T_T I dislike character death >.<
