To explain my last post....

Okay, so I've been accepted to University of Texas for the fall semester, which is really good. I put down a deposit on a dorm, which is also good. The really bad thing is that because my mother messed up my housing apps and I'm now using a private dorm and it's so close to the semester, I'm not allowed to go with the monthly payments option, as I ( Read more... )

My love, there's an error on the link button which won't let me use it. Could you see if it's fixable as I really do want to help.

Not to worry I used the button on your older entry and it worked. Wasn't able to give as much as I would like and I don't require anything in exchange except the knowledge that you get there.

*hugs and kisses* to you too. And I'm pleased to be able to help, it seems like such a small investment in someone who's very worth it and has the ability to really make the world a better place.

Lots of love is good. Hrm, I will ask in return that you look after yourself as best you can. Got to protect my investment see? ;)

Lest you are wondering why you received money from a complete stranger... lazigyrl July 26 2007, 11:41:44 UTC
Ah, nimnod mentioned that you were having some troubles getting to go to college and I hate the idea of someone who really wants to go no being able to. I may not be able to help everyone in that situation, but at least I could do a little for one. It's under the name loridi at rogers dot com (if you are wondering who the hell that is).

Oh, thank you so much!! *hugs* And yes, I did kind of jump a bit when I saw that, but then Nimmy mentioned she made a post about it and I figured you got here from her. Thank you so, so very much.

(btw, I *love* your icon. Best mesh ever.)

Hi, I have found out of your plight from nimnod's post, I have sent a little via paypal now. Unfortunately, being in South Africa we suffer from the 'currency exchange' complaint. I also sincerely sympathize with your plight, I am in a similar boat with my post grad education, as no bank in SA will give money on loan to study in UK, even via the distance option.

My best wishes to you, I shall try to donate more when I can.

Wow, thank you so much! Actually, I'm looking into trying to go to SA for a semester sometime next year (probably next summer, if I can swing it). Since you are from the country with the *best* chocolate I have ever had, I'm using my favorite chocolate icon, as this occasion deserves it! *grins* *hugs* Thank you, this is so amazing. I don't even really know what to say, but *hugs*

Hey, you are very welcome. We have the best chocolate? Wow, that is a surprise although our KitKat is very yummy:)

Actually, the Kit Kat was the first thing I tried *grins*. It was really, really good.... And I grew up with American chocolate, which is... um.... not so good, lol. In fact, the Food and Drug Administration just declared that Grade A chocolate in America doesn't even have to contain any cocoa butter. *sighs* It's really not a happy thing.

Though, honestly, SA chocolate has ruined me for my country's stuff. I can't go near a candy bar here without wincing now. :-)

Mind if I friend you? You seem really, really nice.

Hi, also got this from Nimnod's post. Sorry that I couldn't give as much as I would like to but the exchange rate from SA is a real bitch! Also could have perhaps given more had you not needed it so expediently - just a little bit on the broke side at the moment. But I believe that Education is the greatest thing in the world and I know all about not having enough money for it - used to work 20-40 hours a week as a waitress while studying full time to pay for things. So I hope it helps and that everything pans out and that you get your butt to university!

p.s. I don't want anything in exchange, just to know you made it there. Oh and perhaps some high grades or something ;-)

Wow, thank you so, so much. *hugs* I agree, education is very, very important. Though, lol, my parents keep telling me that if I hadn't got such a jumpstart on it, then I'd be hitting this point when I would be old enough to take out my own loans. Thank you. I honestly can't believe the response that I've gotten from this. It's amazing that there are so many nice people in the world. And, are you really sure you don't want anything?

heh, yes. I am sure. Perhaps you can remember me one day when you're a famous mathematician? You can dedicate your first ground breaking theorem to the rest of us here ;-P
