I love JK and her books, and the lexicon is an awesome internet presence, but I kinda feel like she's in the right here. I don't understand any other reason to publish the lexicon other than to make money. All the information is free on the web. Why publish? Especially since the material IS hers to begin with. I think that SVA and his publisher (RDR) have been deeply, deeply stupid to let it get that far. I've been following the case closely these last few months and it's clear to me that JKR is in the right here.

Of course, things could have changed by now, but I doubt it.

Behind Jo 100% of the way. SVA is an utter idiot for what he's done, and even if he wins, which I doubt he will, he's just severly pissed off the majority of the fandom, so nothing good is going to come out of this for him, and I'm glad of that!

Wow. I don't see why the publisher's lawyers didn't find any of this funny. You'd think they would have at least contacted JKR and her people about the idea at the very beginning.
