That was a short crisis, at least. Have they given you permission to continue using one or more set comments, or do you have to start writing out individual comments for everyone? Also, who alerted Abuse in the first place?

It's not over yet. And no, any unsolicited identical commenting in multiple journals is considered spam regardless of the content, intent, or purpose. It looks like I will have to write something new and variable for everyone I read.

I don't know. I have a clue. They should have brought it up with me first. They just went straight to LJ.

It's disturbingly vague. And I can find no mention non-identical mass unsolicited commenting in the TOS, unless I just missed it. So maybe they're making it up as they go along.
