One has resigned from the concom. One has tendered a resignation from the concom that will be effective once the new board has been elected. The other three remain on the concom, where I personally believe they are tremendous assets.
Thanks. Follow-up question -- and I ask this more as a process question than anything else, since I'm happy to trust your judgment of those who remain -- can they, or at what point can they, stand for re-election to the board?
I'm not aware of any regulation in our bylaws covering that situation (though that doesn't mean it's not there--I don't have a copy of the bylaws handy at the moment, and my memory is fallible). Since they all voluntarily resigned, it seems vanishingly unlikely that any of them would be in the running at the special election for the pro tem board that will serve until our next regular election in January. I suppose it would then be up to the new board and the concom to decide whether to amend the bylaws to restrict board members who have resigned from being put forward as board candidates for a period of time.
As a practical matter it may be moot. Given the stress that this whole situation has put on all of us, and especially the ire that has been directed at the board members, I suspect none of them is likely to want to be on the board again anytime soon!
