Blaine carefully sat next to Logan on his bed, watching his boyfriend's face become eerily blank. If it weren't for his frustrated, upset eyes -- stormy jade at the moment -- Blaine wouldn't have a clue what Logan was feeling. Logan had just gotten a call from his father, and this reaction was one Blaine could relate to ... but not one he wanted to see. "Lo--"
"Don't talk to me," Logan snapped, and Blaine's eyebrows darted up in shock, before dropping again as he was overwhelmed with sympathy and the first tendrils of an idea. Logan had every right to be feeling down right now, but that didn't mean Blaine would let him wallow in it. So he resettled his posture for best air flow, and began to sing.
Let us die young or let us live forever, Blaine sang, starting a verse in so he could get to the lines he wanted. We don't have the power but never say never. Logan was staring at him, eyes now as shuttered as his face, but Blaine pushed on. Sitting in a sandpit, life is a short trip. The music's for the sad man. At "sad man" Blaine cupped Logan's jaw, feeling the rasp of stubble and the way Logan's jaw flexed as he gazed at Blaine in consideration.
Then he sang right back, tone even.
You try to read me, you try to figure out. If Blaine weren't so delighted that Logan was responding, he would have been disheartened that the song he was singing was titled Let Me Be. You try to breathe me, but you can't breathe me out. You try to feel me, but I'm so out of touch. Logan pulled away from Blaine there, rising to his feet and stalking over to the window. He didn't stop singing though. I won't be falling, you won't have to pick me up. He looked over at Blaine on the bed at those final words. Blaine rolled his eyes.
Ladies I can't do me without you, ladies you can't do you without me. Blaine gave a cheeky smile at his song choice, making a show of snapping along. Logan had arched an eyebrow. Ladies you know I got you, I know you got me, so let's do us. A small smirk joined Logan's eyebrow in making his face less impassive, and Blaine grinned in victory.
He drives me crazy, like no one else. It took Blaine a second to place the song, his repetoire being more top forty and Logan switching the pronouns, but when he did he laughed loudly, bouncing to his feet. He drives me crazy. Logan turned around completely, back to the window. And I can't help myself. Logan's smirk widened, and Blaine flushed a little. The look Logan was shooting him now left little up into intepretation. Just as it looked like things would be taking a different turn, Logan switched songs.
I can't stay on your life support, there's a shortage in the switch. Logan sang, and if the mocking look on his face was any indication he was full-out making fun of Blaine, who huffed and crossed his arms. I can't stay on your morphine, 'cause it's making me itch.
A lark! A spree! Blaine cut Logan off before he could get further. It's very clear to see that a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down! Blaine uncrossed his arms, stalking towards Logan in an attempt to make Logan's heated eyes reappear. The medicine go down-wown. Logan seemed duly unimpressed, perhaps because the song wasn't exactly known for its sex appeal, but Blaine pressed on until he had his hands pressed against Logan's chest. The medicine go down, just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down, in a most delightful way.
Logan laughed, but bowed down to press a kiss against Blaine's lips. Blaine returned it eagerly, hands sliding up to Logan's broad shoulders and holding tightly. But once again, before things could get interesting Logan pulled back and sang.
Take it easy, take it easy. Better slow it does boy, that's no way to go, does your mother know? Blaine gaped. Take it easy, take it easy, try to cool it boy, take it nice and slow, does your mother know?
A teasing Logan was better than a sad Logan, at least. So Blaine played along, making a show of pleading with Logan, hands pressed together as if in prayer. I can see what you want, Logan sang, capturing Blaine's hands. But you seem pretty young to be searchin' for that kind of fun, so maybe I'm not the one. Blaine haughtily jerked his chin up, pulling his hands out of Logan's warm grasp and dancing backwards. Logan held up his hands in a peace guesture, still singing. Now you're so cute, I like your style.
Now all I want to know is how to go, Blaine cut him off again, hands on his hips. I've tasted blood and I want more -- Blaine flicked his eyes down Logan's body -- I'll put up no resistance, I want to stay the distance, I've got an itch to scratch, I need assistance. Logan was tapping his foot, eyes intent on Blaine as Blaine shimmied closer. Touch-a touch-a touch-a me, I wanna be dirty. Blaine and Logan were now toe to toe again, Blaine gazing up from beneath his lashes and Logan flicking a tongue across his lips. Thrill me chill me fulfil me, creature of the night.
Blaine paused, and Logan grabbed Blaine's hips, tugging him even closer as he sang back.
I know you see me lookin' at you and you already know, I wanna f-- Logan stopped, smirking then continuing in a faux-innocent tone --love you, you already know, I wanna f-- love you, you already know. Blaine wound his hands around the back of Logan's neck, giving a sharp tug to shut him up.
Shush boy, shut your mouth. Blaine half-sang, half-ordered. Do the Helen Keller and kiss with your lips.
"I think you messed up the lyrics."
"I know."
They met each other midway for the next kiss.
