Wiki up!
I've created the wiki I mentioned in my previous post, that we can use for creating a character concordance, or whatever else we want. I've restricted editing to users who are logged in, to cut down on spam. User account creation is wide open now - if we have a problem with spambots or vandals, I'll shut it down so only admins can create accounts ( Read more... ) -

As kate_nepveu says in her previous post: I have thus far managed to resist doing a big character concordance/index, Wikipedia being disappointing in this regard. Okay, I did read chapter 20 last night, but I want to talk about two articles first since my thoughts about the chapter are influenced by them. So we'll see how long this takes and whether I get to chapter 20.

I read Arthur Waley's translation of chapters 1-10 last summer, but since it's been so long, and since supposedly Waley's version is more a romance novel inspired by the Tale of the Genji than an actual translation, I thought that rather than continue I'd start over with a different translator.
