Updates to the schedule

May 24, 2011 13:35

Hi everyone!
As I mentioned last week, this week is catching up week, so unless you're late, no required reading! ;) We'll do Rainbow Valley on June 5th.

I updated the schedule to add The Blue Castle, which seems to be a favorite of the comm. I thought we would have time to do Emily but I think Castle is going to be easier - and there's always ( Read more... )

Yay! I haven't read The Blue Castle yet, but I've wanted to!

Also, there's a Kinde edition of The Blythes are Quoted for $9.99. I know not everyone's an e-reader fan, but you can also read it on your computer or smartphone and it seems to be cheaper than a hard copy, so might be a good option if your library doesn't have it.

it's hard because i want to comment in every post and I am re-reading (I'll have to get the blue castle and the blythes are quoted, though) because my work schedule is very last-minute (as in, I don't know sunday if I'm working monday or not) so I can't plan in advance. sorry!! :( I'll try to contribute as much as possible. I'm here in spirit I swear.

I was also just going to message you because I am super dumb and scheduled rilla of ingleside...but I'm going to be at bonnaroo/away from june 8th-13th!! I am really bummed because it is MY FAVORITE BOOK probably of all time, but at least for the series but I think I'll have to let someone else do it if it's ok :(

Ack, it's actually my fault - I changed the dates around a bit! Rilla was June 19 at first. Since many people seem to be late, I could push it back one week - would June 19 work better for you?

AUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGH I AM SO BEHIND SO BEHIND -falls over and dies- I don't know if I will ever catch up.................................

I'm not that behind really. mid-late House of Dreams, but ugh, stressful, and POISONWOOD BIBLE I have to read that too so many books so many emails and comments and entries and wall posts and WHY DID I GO AWAY FOR THE WEEKEND WHAT A POOR CHOICE (Well it wasn't a choice it had been planned for ages but dksjgaldsalkfjcfdslgdsa) so many things dklgjdsaiefdlksfcxc and I started physics today!

...I don't know why I'm telling you this, except I seem to be just going around telling everyone I'm not dead and do want to answer the sets of questions I've missed, though Im not sure what the best medium for answering them will be now that the weeks have passed.

Of course this is all assuming I catch up

Ugh, Poisonwood Bible is going to be the death of me, it's so loooong, haha. I'm not used to reading actual literature any more! Feel free to go back and answer comments in old discussion posts, I'm sure people would like that! I might put another off week before Rilla because you're not the only one who's late. You can do it! ;)

A-apparently I can't. I'm still trying, though! But there's so much LJ to catch up on, too, and most days I am barely holding it together between RENT and physics. -grumble-

I returned Poisonwood Bible, giving up. I haven't gotten Jellicoe Road out yet but I'm not sure there's a point; my show opens June 30...this is the first true night off I've had since it started proper rehearsals at the end of May and I don't think there'll be another one. x_X

But Anne of Ingleside is here right now! UGH THEY'RE SUCH SHORT BOOKS I'M FRUSTRATED THAT I CAN'T SEEM TO FINISH THEM.

And the new Sisterhood book is out, and I don't have time to reread those or read the new one! And Dance of Dragons is so going to come out before I finish Feast of Crows! UGH, WHY AREN'T THERE LIKE 30 MORE HOURS IN MY DAYYY

Okay, does anyone actually know how different The Blythes are Quoted and The Road to Yesterday are? I remember reading about a different order and some added material, but if there aren't huge, huge differences, that is also an option.

And I'm not just saying that because I have a copy of RTY and can't put my hands on a free copy of TBAQ.

I have RTY too. And now I want to buy a copy of TBLAQ and read both in succession just to see what the difference is. Sigh.

Believe me, I've had that thought, too. I'm just trying not to buy new books right now, haha. Who am I kidding, I will.

Excellent. I feel better about my own compulsion to do it now. :)
