I'm not sure that knowing we are capable of horror is as important as knowing we are also capable of the channelization of that superpower into something beneficial, beautiful and hopeful instead.

Mostly, I liked the juxtaposition and the astuteness. I'm still wondering if this is also evidence that McCarthy has crossed over into a pop culture realm that exceeds most of what I know.
