Well, we had to have a classification system to put all those strange folks who did the pretty and the outrageous things but whom we still wanted to associate with, right?
This sums up exactly what I've been trying to concretize while having spent the better part of two weeks listening to John Frusciante. Thank you. That will do nicely.
Semi-interestingly, I've listened to Frusciante within the last two weeks too. (Just a little.) I've always found his talent fascinating, even when he's off exploring spillways and eddies that I don't fully understand.
I find that very interesting, because I don't know anyone who listens to Frusciante.
Someone sent me a link to "The Past Recedes" a couple weeks ago, and after I got done being all, "...Cat Stevens has a son??" (again) I started to dig back through his past albums and some of the more interesting RHCP recordings.
I get into these cobra-trances when I listen to Frusciante. Everything else aside, his art simply flattens me in the very best way.
