Thich Nhat Hanh's teachings is so prevalent in my life...at least in the last four years. This is an exercise that my counselor gave me in abbreviated form. I had somehow missed it in all his books I have of his. Where did you find it?

The Miracle of Mindfulness. It's originally from the 70s, I think, and the copy I was flipping through was one of the early editions, but it has been reprinted and is still in print.

In truth, I'm more of a Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche fan--but this is one of those exercises that has lived on and I've always liked it. I presume the meditation itself goes back centuries.

Thich Nhat Hanh wishes you a Happy October: Your Skeleton

I took a pair of classes in college with professors who used Thich Nhat Hanh's meditations at the beginning of class, but I don't remember that we ever did this one. Thank you!

I'm going to start inserting the sentence, "Don't use a pillow," into strange places it doesn't belong. Driving directions; letters to creditors; recipes.
