Why is it that I feel way more stressed panicky about deadlines on a day when I've actually been really productive than on days when I've done nothing at all?  I let myself get away with being really lazy, and then when I work hard it's never hard enough to stop the worrying.  I'm weird.

I keep meaning to watch IASIP because I hear such great things--that and Modern Family--but I hardly watch any currently running TV shows besides BB and am not inclined to get in the habit.

I can't get any work done when I have a cold so once again you have my admiration there. Hope you feel better soon!

I'm trying to calculate how much more free time I would have if I was only following one current show. It's kind of obscene; I watch way too much TV. But, yeah, IASIP is amazing. Definitely one of the funniest shows of all time, with the single funniest female character in television history. Plus, as a bonus for you, all the male characters have some ambiguously gay moments, and I totally suspect that one day the writers are actually gonna go there and have two of them drunkenly hook up.

(Still haven't given Modern Family a chance, because I irrationally resent it for stealing Community's Emmy love.)

Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks! I do feel a lot better now than when I wrote this post.

I used to watch a ton of TV, too, but then there came a period where there was almost nothing on that I gave a damn about. And several shows that I had given a damn about just prior to that had taken such sudden, drastic downward spirals--most notably House--that I was incredibly weary of the whole enterprise anyway. So when I moved, I decided to just go with the most basic cable package and otherwise ignore my TV--which of course left out cable shows that I knew were good, but by that point I couldn't be bothered. I really don't miss it. If I do need to see some currently running show then I can download it, which I've been doing with BB and for my junk food, Project Runway, but little else (not counting defunct shows that I'm either re-watching or catching for the first time). Of course, when BB comes back I'm going to be faced with a dilema in that regard, because I don't think I'll be so willing to wait the extra few hours anymore.

For the last several months I've been either without cable or without my own TV, so I'm watching almost everything online. It actually works for me. But no way would I want to wait for BB. That is a show I absolutely have to watch live.

Hello! I'll definitely have to add this to my queue.

Haha, I knew that would work. I should warn you upfront, of course, that it's not like those male characters are actually appealing at all. Of the three that aren't Danny Devito, one's illiterate and crazy, one's just a stupid macho asshole, and one's an outright sociopath. It's not so much that there's delicious slashy subtext; it's that the writing employs the homoeroticism in such a smart, funny, refreshing, and progressive way. (But I do in all honesty ship Mac and Dennis.)
