I used to really hate it, too, mostly because it interrupted my flow to keep having to go back and quote from the text, but now that it's become so routine, the process of it actually helps me focus.

The Churchill play is just plain awesome, but the Stein poem, because I've always disliked and never understood Stein, was actually kind of a revelation. But, yeah, not ideal to work with.
