It's so wrong and yet it's the best thing ever. I love this. I just... damn, poor Jesse.

And I love that they were watching Mythbusters, and Walt critiquing it haha the best <3

And ooohhh God the sex is so... awesomely awkward and just... poor Jesse! I feel so bad for him... and yet it's somehow hot? And yet wrong because they're kind of father/son ish but yet they are also slashy and I DON'T KNOW

I have no words, I have been up too long, and the thought of the next chap will get me through tomorrow's insane day of morning classes and then Retail Hell.

I'm a big fan of that detail myself; thanks for noting it.

Heh. Exactly.

I think one of the really tragic things about the Walt/Jesse pairing is that I think they're kinda doomed to the shadows by definition... I mean, like even just a bit too much openness and there are huge consequences... I can't really imagine any way of explaining it to Hank, for instance O_O (unless Hank got to a certain point and just decided that he just really did not want to know... which I can see, if he didn't think there was something more going on.)

I did briefly imagine, between seasons 2 and 3, that Walt's relationship with Jesse might actually serve as the answer to everyone's questions about Skyler leaving him...that Walt would openly claim it as a personal relationship in order to deflect any suspicion about a business relationship, and let people think that personal relationship was what alienated Skyler.

Of course it was a ridiculous idea that I was only thinking about because I wanted Walt and Jesse to move in together and that seemed like a way to make it work. But it's the only inversion I've ever been able to come up with of the status quo of Jesse as Walt's dirty little secret.

There were so many parts of this installment that I enjoyed so much. The misunderstandings were just epic. The hand-holding, the issue of condoms, trading places, and all the rest were just fuel for all the tension between thm. It's like either or both of them were going to spontaneously combust at any moment ( ... )

Thanks so much; I'm pretty fond of this section, too. (Especially the Mythbusters thing. I'm glad that's gone over so well.) Jesse's POV is fun as hell to write, but the hard part is letting him feel bad about what's happening without making it seem as Walt is deliberately hurting him, and I'm glad you felt like you could see how Walt was feeling. And I'm glad you thought it was hot.

And, yeah, Jesse was totally incapable of giving Walt the benefit of the doubt there, but, really, can you blame him?
