So her boyfriend has been depressed about the death of his friend for the whole length of their relationship, and suddenly said friend shows up out of the blue and she instantly 'likes' him?

That's a good point, you know... you would expect a little more protective anger on John's behalf. Especially since Sherlock reappeared so untactfully! She did seem upset when Sherlock first showed up, but she got on his side pretty damn quickly!

I saw Smaug in 3D IMAX and in 2D a week later (can you tell I liked it?), and the IMAX simply rocked the 3D. Outstanding. Bard: how do I love thee? Let me count the ways. Legolas: you go, elf! Some surprisingly poor special effects, like Legolas riding off after the Orc at the end. Those horses moved like the ones I stuck a nickel in and road in the grocery store as a kid. But I liked part two infinitely more than part one. Sherlock hasn't started yet here. I'll be seeing American Hustle this coming week.

Your ushers are definitely nicer than ours. You would have been swept up with the kernels if you'd dropped a bucket here.

Oh dear, I left my comment to your post. But that's because I saw Eddie, had a heart palpitation and smile, and was distracted. :)

Completely understandable, that's how I always feel when I see Eddie too! :)
