I went to the cinema last week - we were going to see 'Gone Girl' (has anyone seen it? Would you recommend it?) but we were late and it was sold out anyway, so we ended up seeing '71', which is a thriller set in Northern Ireland during the Troubles.  Without spoiling it, it's about a young British soldier who is sent to Belfast on his first ( Read more... )

I really liked 71. Saw it in Dublin last week and thought it was way better done than for example "A Belfast Story" which came to cinemas last year.

Gone Girl is amazing, but it has been sold out in Dublin for weeks as well. We had to get there pretty early to get to see it. But it's totally worth it :)

I'm glad you liked 71 too! Yeah I will definitely try and see Gone Girl at some point - have you read the book? I haven't got round to that yet either. :P
