I love this question because I often think the same thing however there was one time my mom forgot my boyfriend was over and we were in the basement watching a movie and he ended up staying the night because we fell asleep and my mom forgot he was over and went to bed LOL but still whole different scenario but I still wonder the same thing sometimes when I read the book LOL

Sincerely,
Raelin

maybe hes just a heavy sleeper. but i think as soon as charlie might have a slight idea something might be going on, edward would find out.

I don't really understand how can Charlie be oblivious to what's going on in Bella's room... I mean, Bella talks to Edward, and even if it's in a low voice, Charlie must listen to some kind of noise... Or maybe he really sleeps like a stone lol (I don't know if this expression is used in the English language)

The baby on the picture is scary!

As for the bachelor party... Well, I'm sure Emmett and Jasper teased Edward a lot in that night...
And I liked the idea of the Powerpoint presentation! haha

At this point, I already knew that Bella would get pregnant. The dream and intro on immortal children foreshadowed succeeding events. Heck, even Charlie's "You're pregnant!" was a form of foreshadowing.

What is interesting to me is how Meyer seemed to anticipate readers' reactions to Bella's wedding and pregnancy, and she incorporated/embodied these (negative) reactions in Bella. Likewise, she anticipated readers' reactions to the imprinting as exemplified in Bella and Edward being unhappy about it initially; then there's Jasper's confusion at Bella's abilities as a newborn; Jacob's disgust over the whole pregnancy and childbirth situation (but I'm getting way ahead of myself). Anyway, these lead me to think that Meyer was totally in control of the situations and the characters, and that she really, intentionally went out there.

Back to this chapter: I loved that Bella and Edward were making out like normal, hormone-riddled teenagers.

me too - it was heavily foreshadowed here, and I wasn't surprised.

i dont think anyone has mentioned mike yet so im curious as to what the hell happened to him?? i was really hoping BD would have included him and all the other humans in forks. the volturi could have came after them. And bella, the cullens and the packs could have had to protect them... ugh then again i wish a lot of things went differently in the book but im giving it a second chance..im trying.

anyone have any thoughts as to what happened to mike?
