~So what would people's thoughts be if I asked a 30 year-old to prom next year. Haha. His name's John, and he's an optometrist (a friend of the family as well). My mother was joking around with it before the junior prom, actually. And then she did so yesterday. ~I don't know what he is, actually. I have no preference in that area (my date for junior prom was a democrat, but quite the moderate one...). Not like it'd be serious...oh God, no. That'd be scandelous!!

you look like you would fit well with an older guy.. if he's nice to you, and you like his company, go for it.. I chose my prom date way back when for totally bogus reasons and regretted it the second I picked her up for the date.

Haha. I like how your friend's only concern about going to Prom with a 30 year old is that he might be a Democrat. He's right though. We rape and pillage, don't you know. Hee hee.

Anywho, there is no shame in taking an older man to Prom. My oldest "candidate" for senior Prom is 28 years old. But he's a good friend and ridiculously nice. When I asked my mom how old he looked, she said 20. So who knows. Besides, we'll both be 18 come Prom, so technically it'd be a-okay. :P

~Haha! My mother says that everyone would be drooling over him. She's like, "He's so cute..." and she never calls guys cute. Haha! He does look mid-20's also, but I just think it's funny. Let's both go to Prom with older men!!!!
