It's never for nothing

Let's see, I had my surgery on Thursday morning as scheduled. I showed up at the orthopedic surgery place at 6 am, they had me out cold by 7 am and by 9 am they were waking me up to get me ready to go home. I was back in my own bed by 11 am. Wow...what sort of accident did you have that entails you needing screws in your body?

I am glad to hear that your friends are going out of their way to take care of you...a few years ago one of my friends got diagnosed with a brain tumor, and it was absolutely amazing how much support came gushing out for him while he was at the hospital.

I hope you have a lot of good movies to keep you company in bed for the next few days.

Wow. I hear you on the being so absorbed in my own life that I forget that there are other people. Personally, I'm going to need a kidney donor or I'll be on dialysis. It took that to happen for me to appreciate what I had (a healthy life, etc...) So I understand what you're talking about. Best of luck recovering!
