I am sure it is the same all over the world. More you have, more you spend. Get a payrise, other things go up

I am stressing so much Kyles - we are going to be starting building this house soon. Interest rates went up .25% and talk of another rise soon. It is not a really expensive house or anything but we will still be borrowing about $160,000 (and having to pay it back lol) so it all does make a difference. I am paying at the moment $20 a day in petrol to get to and from work. That is $100 a week - ridiculous isn't it

How do they really expect people to get ahead? I am so glad we bought our house when we did because we got it before prices hiked and it has paid for the block and when we finally do sell we will have a little bit left over to finish off the new house.

I hate to think of the people that haven't bought a house yet, how are they going to get the start they need?

oh but Kim havent you heard...inflation is only 3% (of course im not sure what parallel universe theyre getting this information from but it certainly isnt where i live).

My car has gone from costing about 30 dollars to fill from empty, to over 70 dollars and this fortnight ive spent 150 on petrol and i still have to get to work sat sun mon school on Tuesday and work on Wednesday before i get paid on Thursday. I got called into extra shifts about 45 minutes away three times this week, and im now penniless til payday and i havent realy brought anything other than food fuel and paid bills... wait there is the cat and dog food, but im not going to let them starve... oh and i did get the dog hydrobathed and stuff.

Luckily the amount remaining to be paid on this place isnt over 100,000... its more like 35,000, but its still a struggle with only one wage ... Tris is on Austudy and mums on Newstart, which really pay nothing at all when you factor in their expenses.

hmmm am thinking it might be time to investigate an insurance job rofl
