my over-active brain is pulling me in so many directions right now that i literally feel like i'll burst! i was just sitting here, working on my paper (on the relationship of cybernetics and rhizome communication systems to video-game art...very interesting), when i thought to myself, "hey, why don't i check out nyfa.org to see if there is anything ( Read more... )

Some things to consider:
Saving money is something we don't do very well. Apartments eat money. Don't go the extra year just to save up.
An extra year of tuition negates any savings you may possibly scrounge up, anyway.
An extra minor will not dramatically increase your chances at getting a better job. An internship may, slightly, but not enough to justify an extra year of schooling which could be spent working towards a master's, which would dramatically increase your chances of a better job.

Yes - and see about post-bac program opportunities if you aren't yet ready for grad school. I always tell students not to pile too much on.

i understand how you feel 100 percent. it's hard to be away for so long... you get to look at your life at home from another perspective and see things in a new light. while i agree with nicole that apartments do eat money... all the things you feel you will accomplish are major points to the "pro" side. i also feel like this a win/win situation... just as long as you DO finish in five years... think about it some more and then decide when you get home and you can feel things out more. see you soon!!!
