Thats really not fair. Sure he's doing the right thing to volunteer and try to help out. Sure they're in "bum heaven" and are being picky and demanding things, but we're talking about people who lost friends/family, their home, and maybe even their life (not physically), and so much more. I'm wouldn't be surprised if they're were in so much turmoil and stress that they would be selfish and picky about what they want.
But this is just generalization. I doubt that this person has seen and met every single victim to say that they all don't deserve help. Its like saying humanity has gone to hell and there is no single kind person on earth.
I haven't been through a hurricane but I already could that stress and turmoil alone can give you a nasty behavior. Some actions even I don't want to forgive. But I know some people who still need food, water, a decent place to sleep, and just want to see their friend again. Thats what matters to me and I still would like to help.
oh yeah, i totally agree. I still would love to help to. I mean, sure, they're may be some greatful people out there, and yes, i can understand people stressing over losing thier homes and what not too. But to be damanding things like that from someone trying to help you, i can also undstand why hes a little irratated. I just thought that was messed up. Although i still believe some of these people are greatful for what everyones done to help them. Hey maybe even the ones who seem ungreatful deep down are relieved by the help.
Yeah I could understand if he was irritated, but to the point where he's saying that all of them could go to hell is a little much. And yeah, I totally agree, those who seem ungrateful are probably definitely grateful deep down. I mean so far life has treated them terribly so you can't blame them. ^_^
