Has anyone read Jessica Abel's new graphic novel? It's a beautiful hardcover, pretty big (not as big as Blankets though). It's about a girl who goes to Mexico City to live, to get in touch with her Mexican roots; but she meets a communist who dismisses her as an American bourgeois, which sends her to great lengths to prove him wrong. Is Abel hispanic herself? I've tried looking her up in various places but haven't turned up anything.
