Its 3:40am, I just finished screwing in the bracets and hanging my own curtains, myself. I started at 2am. Yes, indeed it took me over an hour and a half. The first time I did it they were too far appart and the rod didnt reach. I almost had a meltdown. But when I took them out and got the one side on pretty quickly I felt better. cats pee on things that smell like their pee...so even if you washed the sheets he might vaguely smell it...they have all these pet-pee deodorizing products that make it go away completely.

this article seems pretty helpful. I don't know if all of it would apply, but certainly the methods to prevent kitties from peeing in certain spots might help. I'm sure he'll stop.
