I had a pleasant surprise today - the window washers on my car have been playing around because the previous owner jury rigged a repair that kept on failing. A replacement bit of plastic pipe around three inches long was eight pounds and whilst I can afford eight pounds I was outraged so I went to a breakers yard. They didn't have the right bit

i love how the castle is just in the middle of a bunch of houses. :p

There's a house (18th century I think) built in the middle of it - the castle became the gate and garden wall

well, i guess that's good because then you don't have to deal with living in a castle, but you are still technically living in a castle. :p
