What about your relatives? Have they left as well?

Since schools are rather large buildings, won't it be enough to have everyone on the ground floor, under some solid structures? That should be feasible inside a week or so?

No. Here is a map of the alert zones of Israel (Including the West Bank). The only places evacuated are in the Gaza Wrapper, which in this map is named "The Gaza Containment Zone". That's the red zone in the west. The north red zones are within the range of Lebanon and Syria, but the main danger is, of course, Gaza

At least ground floor is a start - if you don't have to fear that whole building to tumble down on you. But it's not China, is it...?
Anyway, they should certainly make school start sort of voluntary, for those who have better protection at home and are afraid or already traumatised.
