This time it's supposed to be a long term one. Well, long term in Middle East terms, which is one month.
The terms of the ceasefire are more or less a tie. The Hamas demands of a seaport and airport and Israel's demand of demilitarization of Gaza will both be discussed starting a month from now. The current terms are:

Let's hope it keeps for a while. As you say, this should have happened earlier....
I'll be interested to hear how they plan to control the use of building material. Nobody can deny that it's sorely needed, but you can hardly follow each brick o bucket to its final destination, can you?
Much room for manoeuvering, for those trying to build tunnels as well as for those looking for new reasons of hatred and conflict.

Maybe they're planning to just get a little "symbolic" amount of cement go in for a month, and then trust the negotiations for demilitarization to either succeed (and in that case there will be peace in the Middle East, airport and seaport, and pigs will fly), or blow up noisily (and in that case, not much could be done about the tunnels with a small amount of cement).
