I was also really excited they were going to take the car! And the 104 parallel was really sweet.
I don't know if I think Blair was begging Dan to fight for her or tell her how he feels, but it definitely was odd how easily she was ready to ditch her fairytale.
but he only started giving in to Blair's requests after reading Dan's story
IDK, he was going to take her to that event until Dan's issues came up. I think he would have come through, he seems like a really good person. I really do think he is a "right love" for Blair, but she's already botched it all up in 4x22.
I won't survive this season, I hope you all realise that.
First of all, you commenting this... I might have just died of embarrassment! This is not a review, this is me fangirling about Dair and you actually read it... *hides under a rock
( ... )
Eek, if the "right love" is a guy you cheat on then not sure if it's right at all.True, but I think she cheated because her idea of what constitutes love is so messed up. She tried to choose Chuck in the finale. She said that happiness doesn't matter as much as their connection, their "pull" (the pull Chuck's always telling her is "real" and "undeniable" and "inevitable," etc.). She talks down the exact connection she shares with Dan -- shared goals, stimulating conversation, etc
( ... )
I can't think properly after last night, but I shall attempt to:
I would love to think that B has a better, clearer version of love. No doubt that Chuck's F*cked it up a bit to say the least. But her neverending fairytale deside started way back, on Nate's time, and her movie love makes me believe that she knows that neither the fairytale nor the insane pull she has with Chuck is truly about love. When she basically said that what she and Chuck have does not add up to happiness, I think she was acknowledging that.
I truly think that she wanted Dan to give her a reason in 501, but now I feel like it was more about not losing Dan than anything... I'm still confused forever about it.
And now came the Prince's sister to make everything more contrived...
