The Avengers review

What a perfect movie! I just can't believe how amazing it is, but at the same time, it's just SO very Whedon-like that its brilliancy should be expected.

Joss Whedon brought everything to a whole new level: he got great performances out of everyone, he fleshed out every character -even the ones who were already very much defined and developed-,  ( Read more... )

I love the movie so much I've seen it 3 times and I already per-ordered the DVD.

Yeah I don't get the love for Loki either.

I'm so glad Whedon is finally getting reconnection for how good he is.

I would love to see a black widow/hawkeye movie.

haha, I feel like an alien myself for not being insane about Loki, I just don't get it... maybe it's cause people like him from other things I haven't watched or something!

I read there's a BW is possibly happen, that Scarlett even said it was going to be a prequel... I'm guessing Hawkeye will have to make an appearance at some point!

And then they can give me some Bucky... :P

I really liked Loki in Thor, but was surprised at how villainous he was in this movie. He does have a KNEEL BEFORE ZOD kind of deal going on, which doesn't really fit with the idea that Loki is the god of mischief and chaos and whatnot tbh, but I can kind of think of it as Loki feeling entitled to be a king and gung ho to be the king of Earth if he can't be the king of Asgard.

I agree about Tony. I still like Iron Man as a character, but he felt kind of... IDK. I'm not sure if any one character stood out to me in this film, though, so in that way it succeeded as a team movie for me!

I actually thought him more evil in Thor, maybe because he was secretely going against his own people (who weren't really his own people but... you know ( ... )
