I'm over escaping from family and old high school classmates (god help me) on Facebook, and the complete tweenie insanity that is Tumblr, despite all the pretty pics of Johnlock and the actors thereof. And porn. Ahem.

Because, dude. I'm too goddamn old for Tumblr, and people keep finding me on Facebook despite that my name is altered.

Yo. So good to see you around these parts!

FB= the place where I can't say anything of substance because too many people from too many different compartments of my life follow me there.

I actually like Tumblr for what it is (obvs. NOT the place to have conversations), but I think I've avoided the worst of the youngsters/newbies to How We Do Things in online fandom. It may have something to do with which fandoms one tracks, and/or the fact that most of the people I've friended over there are people I already knew (or knew of) from other fannish arenas, esp. LJ&DW.

And then I run away for three weeks again. Sigh.

I stupidly let one old high school classmate friend me on Facebook--she was one of the few I could stand--and then a small landslide. Now I'm being pestered to attend the 35-year reunion. UhhhNO. There's one dude who, if he'd show up, I'd call out as a relentless bully in front of his family, because fuck him, that's why. Thinking of these people doesn't bring out the best in my personality.

FB is this weird necessary evil, at least with my family, so I can't just rage quit, but there are times I want to. I didn't like HS when I was in it--why would I want to surround myself with those people now??

Anyway, {{{hugs}}} It's so good to chat with you a bit here and there and wherever. I'll take my Daisy whenever I can get her. ;)
