R&R happens wherever you are, it just depends on how much effort you're willing to put forth. I should tell you about the time I fought my way across an entire continent for a decent bowl of tea.
It is a challenge, but at least some of the comforts of civilization are here. Say what you will about them, but these demons can distill a damn fine amsec.
It's a curfew I gave myself! My teachers and employers would love it if I would stay out all night and come in late, but I could never do something like that! So I gave myself a curfew to be sure I get home on time, otherwise I could get in all sorts of trouble!!
Aah, Poker, a game I am quite familiar with! A game using modern day playing cards, whose history dates back to ancient China.
Well, that is not quite true, the present day deck of modern playing cards has virtually nothing to do with their venerable Chinese ancestor. Card games at a later date were created by other cultures, a parallel development if you will.
But I am even more familiar with modern card games! Why, there are children's card games, with complicated rules accounting for all sorts of fascinating and unique interactions, one game never, ever being the same. People believe in the 'hearts' of their cards.
I wonder if the spirits of the cards pay homage to their Chinese ancestors... why, if they don't, I imagine those venerable Chinese playing cards are disappointed in them!
