I love language. And I found an old Dr. Seuss book I haven't read in years (The Sneeches and Other Stories) and so I've been reading Dr. Seuss and re-reading Fox In Sox and thinking about how Dr. Seuss is my greatest influence art-wise. Language is so brilliant

Yay! Fox in Socks is my FAVOURITE Dr. Seuss book! Reading it makes me want to learn it off by heart so I can run down the street yelling it as loud as I can. It's a happy book. :D My favourite part is the bit about beetles battling in a bottle.

Yay, me too. The last night in our house as Sarah and Libby and the German boy all snuggled into bed I read them Sneetches and Fox In Socks.
