The other day I went to the supermarket and bought a toothbrush and a packet of cheap doughnuts. As I was leaving it occurred to me that such a combination was actually quite ludicrous. I felt like I may as well have bought nothing at all ( Read more... )

Yay! Leo Stories! I love these! They make me clap my hands with glee.

I think it makes sense to buy a toothbrush with donuts. It's thoughtful planning. Preventative. You buy the toothbrush so you can brush your teeth after eating the donuts.

I had that thought too. But then, I think that eating doughnuts and then brushing your teeth six hours later would be worse than not eating doughnuts or brushing your teeth for one night.

If you'd bought toothpaste as well you could have brushed your teeth straight afterwards, and then all would be well!

But then I'd need to have bought water, too, and a sink, and a little cup to rinse my mouth out with.

I look forward to it!

My first moving out of home experience I moved in with a friend who found the house by himself and went on the lease by himself so the day after my 18th birthday we moved in. I said, "I'm moving out today, mum," and she said, "...ok," because apparently she had had no idea it was happening.

Speaking of which, how many "had's" can you have in a row in a single sentence and still have it make sense?

Three if Had is someone's name. Four if it's two different people's names. For examplé: Had (the first person) had had Had (the second person) over for dinner. But, really, who would do that to their child?

Hooray for making people giggle!

I don't know, looking for housemates can be fun and exciting sometimes... especially if you find someone who seems cool but you're waiting because you think your other roommate's sister is going to move in then three months later she still hasn't moved in but she stays over the night and then the next day says, "I don't think I could live here. I'm too noisy," and you feel slightly annoyed that you passed up all these great people for someone who never moved in, but then you find someone wonderful wh o you get along with really well and are very happy to have lived with.
