EASY QUESTION. Are there ghosts or spirits of any kind on the Plane? Sam Tyler the Ghostbuster needs to know.

Unfortunately, no one can interact with them. They are just out of reach.

Okay, I swear I've been over every info post and I am going to feel reaaaaaaaaaaally stupid if it's in blinking sparkling letters and I *still* didn't see it BUT-- I understand that characters can still use their phones or communicators or PADDS or whatever they may have with them, and can call individual people, but what makes up the actual realityshifted posts? Is there another device that goes to this "message board" type network, or is it still from whatever communication tech the character might have brought with them, simply broadcasting to a wide variety of people?

Yes, it does! Posts in realityshifted aren't over a communication network. They're just people talking that other people might come across - sort of like an open log, only in brackety form. The way people use this varies. Some people address others directly, some are talking to themselves, and some are just idly doing stuff or talking at occurances. We've also had a lot of people talking to their hallucinations.

Oh, all right; it's just that everyone can hear you should they choose to pay attention at the given time of the post. Provided that all these characters are either all on the Plane *or* in their separate realities. Right?

Yes, so if someone posted about having a drinking party, everyone nearby who loves drinking might go "AWESOME" and it would be an awesome post of people drinking together. Posts in realityshifted are done on the Plane (though sometimes threads lead back home), while posts in home realities are almost always done in shifted_logs. (Sometimes people will do posts set on the Plane in shifted_logs, but it is rare for people to do posts set in realities in realityshifted, because of all the issues that crossing realities causes. Players seem to find it neater this way.)

I have an OC I am considering, but...

Said OC was in another game before this one, and a lot of things happened along the lines of ~character development~ and ~important, impacting stuff~. Stuff that wouldn't ever happen the same way in his own world/canon. I don't necessarily want to lose that. I guess what I'm asking is, can I app him as a 'port from said other game?

EDIT: ... are OCs even still allowed? Upon rereading things, I see no mention. I could also just be blind. oo;

Unfortunately, as we don't allow fandom characters apped from other games, we can't allow it for OCs either. It doesn't seem fair?

OCs are still allowed. There wasn't any information about it in the game because it was operating it as a trial run in the game to get the mods used to dealing with OC apps. We're hoping to open the game up to OCs in general, not just as a trial run, in November, so we'll be editing the information to reflect that.
