[ Crouching down to the ground a man can be seen. His one visible eye is simply staring at the ground -- or lack there of -- beneath his feet, a wooden box strapped to his back. From his mouth there was a thin cigar that was lit, a trail of smoke wafting overhead. For a moment he doesn't say anything. He just stares at the stars with a blank look upon his face. Then, ever so cautiously, he extends a hand and pokes it with his forefinger. ]
... This is new. I didn't think that shop was going to be anything more than just a shop but clearly I was mistaken.
[ As he continues to poke the ground he takes the cigar from his lips, exhaling softly. His hand then rests under his chin with the lit cigar held loosely between two fingers of the same hand. ]
I'd say this was a dream but I'm pretty sure I'm awake. [ There's a pause. ] No, I'm definitely sure I'm awake. Not sure if that's any comforting though seeing as I'm standing on a bunch of... stars. Mushi are one thing, but this? This is definitely out of my league.
[ Up and down goes the cigar as he thinks. ]
Now that I think about it, something's not right here. I should be able to see the mushi but there aren't any around. That doesn't make any sense-- heck, that shouldn't even be possible. There are always mushi around.
[ Again he lapses into silence as he stares and occasionally pokes the floor. Then, the corners of his mouth twitch, a faint smile tugging at them. ]
... Heh. Tanyu would love to hear about this.
