[Oliver is grinning in a rather sappy sort of way as he walks up to Eithan, amused and glad for such happy news] Beaches are romantic!

[Eithan blinks at Oliver, not entirely registering that what Oliver says is directly related to what he's been rambling about out loud... then it clicks, and he smiles - a little embarrassed, a little nervous, but mostly just sappy and... contented.]

Yeah. They are, huh? I just... You know, it's me. Somethin' 'd probably go wrong. [A slight laugh]

[oliverplus]

[grins] Well, if that's you, then she'd probably be disappointed if it didn't!

[punkblaze]

[He laughs again.] Good point, man! Just... so long as it doesn't go really, very wrong, it'll probably be okay. Right?

[oliverplus]

[smiles, and it's quite as sappy as Eithan's] I think so, yeah.

So! Tell me about this girl.

[punkblaze]

Her name's Val. Valerie Tanaka. She's a healer. She's... well, okay, so she doesn't talk much. But that's okay. She's really smart, and patient - I mean, she'd have to be to deal with me, right? Heh.

She's... strong. Really strong. Mentally, I mean, you know? And sensible. Level head, that sort of thing. And man, she's so beautiful. In every conceivable way. And it's like everything bad just... dissipates - vanishes, completely - whenever I'm with her. I love her. And I can't believe she'd love a guy like me, but... she does. She's amazing.

[Yeah, now he doesn't care that he's smiling like a lovestruck fool and maybe even blushing a little bit. Let the world know it - he's totally head over heels for this girl. Meanwhile, the mun apologizes on his behalf for the sheer amount of ridiculous and words]

[that's okay, Oliver would make a very similar speech about Chloe. he's grinning through every word he hears]

If you can say something like that, then I don't think you've got anything to worry about with your proposal!

Yeah? I hope so. I kinda wish I'd saved writin' a song for her for this. Heh, oops?

[waves a hand] The song was part of getting here, right?

And you could always, you know, share the message in a different special way! Like...sketch it out in the sand...or something...

[laughs, but scratches his head a little sheepishly] Well, it's not like she'd know if I did. So why not?

Ah, so you do have a girl, huh? [Smile!] Your turn. What's she like?

[oliverplus]

Oh...uh... [fidgets awkwardly] Chloe--Chloe Elliot. [despite himself, he starts to smile at the thought of her, but the expression is a mixture of sappy and sad] She's the most amazing girl on Earth! She's super-smart, and nice--way too nice, to let me get away with the things I do. And she's beautiful and talented and has good taste in music, and--just...she's amazing. All over. [stops there, scratching his head and grinning like an idiot (in love)]

[punkblaze]

[Eithan notices the sad undertone, but doesn't pry. He just grins in return, knowing, absolutely able to relate to the feeling.]

Light of your life, huh?

[oliverplus]

[he's still smiling a sappy but wistful smile] Yeah. Yeah, exactly.
