[There's a new face tonight. Richter steps onto the plane without stumbling, looking for all intents and purposes like he had been doing this forever. He reaches up, probably to brush hair out of his eyes, but stops and lets his hand drop to his side]
This place is... No, the Temples have a different atmosphere.
[Richter looks around some

He stops just before flickering out, though, because a sense other than sight is telling him that not only is that not Kratos, it's a half-elf. That's certainly interesting enough for him to turn and take a good look, then approach.]
...I haven't seen you before. Are you new to the Plane?

Doesn't that answer your own question? [/default jerk response]
... I take it you've been here a while, then. [slightly more polite response(?)]

I come and go. It's a good place to get away to. [A measuring look at Richter.] ...There are people here from other worlds, and other times.

What does 'other times' entail? I thought that time travel was something beyond mortal capacity.
[but it sounds interesting and... And he really shouldn't consider it]

[his attention goes back to Botta (and the other half-elf hadn't answered his question.)] Tell me then; what world are you from?
[because multiple worlds isn't that strange when you live in Sylvarant-Tethe'alla-Aselia, right?]

[Of course, to a Tethe'allan from his time, he might well sound like he's claiming to come from the moon, but we'll cross that bridge after we see this guy's reaction.]

Then you would identify as 'Sylvaranti'? [then muttered quietly;] Not that it matters, in the end.

[He would identify as a Renegade, but that's not the sort of thing you just say, obviously.]

But I wonder what the consequences for the world might be if the past were to change. [would the heroes of world regeneration succeed? What of the world's mana supply? ... Would Aster still be alive?]
You said that people from other times arrive here as well. From the way you speak of the world... I take it you're from back when they were still separate?
Reply
As far as consequences...obviously, I want to avoid causing too many if possible. From what I've learned of the future, it seems like the world is on a good path now.

[he shakes his head slightly] The natural order will right itself again at least. [a pause] As for the political situation... Your guess for how that will turn out is as good as mine.

...Are the nations close to warring again, then? [Dammit. Yuan's not going to be happy to learn that, if and when Botta ever figures out how to tell him.
Still, any future is better than the endless cycle they've been enduring for the past four thousand years. The worlds as they are now are at the breaking point - something has to give way, and soon.]

[no thanks to Richter] Considering the state that Sylvarant was left in compared to Tethe'alla... Though it seems that the Lezareno Company is working on peacekeeping efforts.

I'm glad to hear that not everyone has lost all sense, then. [And he's confident that he and Yuan are, as ever, somewhere behind the scenes helping keep things from boiling over.] A change like that always causes some strife...let's hope it doesn't become another catastrophe.

Hmph. You make it sound like the Tethe'allan nobility had sense to begin with. Nevermind half-elves, the way they treat those humans living in the slums...
[he shakes his head. He never liked going to the Elemental Research Laboratory; being talked down to in Sybak didn't come close to the arrogance or belittling that came from Meltokio's nobility]
