[It may not be the smartest idea, sneaking up on Richter that is. Aster can't help trying to take that grumpy look off his face. With a snack in hand, he figures his friend must have spotted him off in the corner with a big smile on his face already. That realization doesn't stop him from attempting to sneak up behind him, in fact, it may even have sealed his desire to do so.

He's quiet when he first walks up behind him and then speaks up once he reaches to poke Richter's shoulder.]

Aqua?

[Richter all but jumps, spinning around and looking like he's about to cast a spell-]

No, not her. [she's irritating in a way Richter can deal with, for one]

[He doesn't even look remotely worried that he could have been zapped by a spell. Aster trusts Richter enough to sneak up on him. He pokes his shoulder lightly again.]

Hm? Are you traveling with another centurion?

[... he sighs before shaking his head, brushing off Aster's poking in the process]

More like repeatedly butting heads with another centurion.

[Instead of reaching for another poke, he holds out the snack he was munching on. It looks like a bag of chips. Richter can take some, if he wants.]

I wish it were that easy. [he looks uncomfortable] She'd probably end up making it worse.

[Why that look? Aster brings the chips back to him, takes a chomp out of one and says]

Making it worse? Does she not like the other centurion?

[Granted they weren't on exactly good terms with Ratatosk. He never saw what happened after he died. He knows little about Tenebrae, if anything at all.]

They don't see eye-to-eye. She means well but her temper's too short to actually make a point.

Somehow someone's vandalized the Ginunngagap without anyone noticing. [pause, because it reminds him of the less than happy memories in Sybak] It seems to be targeted at me.

[That's strange. Aster becomes very attentive in a single second. He found writing along the library walls recently-writing that didn't fit the atmosphere. The two could be connected.]

I'm more curious about how it managed to appear in the Ginunngagap of all places.

I think there's more to it than that. The writing may be connected to this place.

[That would certainly explain it's untimely appearance in that place.]
