[Somewhere on the Plane, a little out of the way from where everything else is, Eithan has brought a ridiculously large, poofy, Victorian-style armchair. Of course, you'll find Eithan curled up in that chair. ... And, every once in a while, you'll hear him whine. Or groan. Or make some other pitiful noise ( Read more... )

[Well obviously Ethan is taking a nap, and John isn't one to disturb people who are sleeping. So, he'll just go pick up that blanket and try to put it on Ethan so he doesn't get cold.]

[Eithan's actually awake, just incredibly drugged-up on cough syrup and the like. He manages to blink blearily up at John, and gives a small smile.]

Heh. Thanks man.

Oh, you're awake!

[He's a little surprised at first, but he quickly regains himself and smiles widely.]

Sorry, I though you were trying to catch a nap here.

Kinda. I guess. I mean... [Cough!] Ugh.

[He shifts, sitting up a bit straighter. ... key words being "a bit".]

Fuckin' sick. I hate it. I guess I should be tryin' to sleep, but it's so hot... and then it's so cold... and I dunno. It just sucks.

[Oliver sees that armchair and immediately makes his way over--out of curiosity, more than anything. but then he sees the state of Eithan and winces. he drops from the Plane and comes back with a book in his hand, which he sets on the table next to the soup and the tea. then he sits on the floor nearby and pulls out his datapad, messing with something on it while Eithan sleeps]

[He eventually does come around, though he's still clearly medicated and a little bit out-of-it. He blinks at the soup, then the tea, and then the book. After about thirty seconds, his brain processes that no, the book was not there before, and he reaches for it.

That's when he spots Oliver. He blinks, slowly, shakes his head, and then sits back a bit and rubs at his eyes with the heels of his hands.]

Nn... Fuck. ... Sorry. Hey, man.

[it's Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Oliver thought Eithan might enjoy it]

[he gives Eithan a smile] Hey. You look like hell. You all right?

[He likely will! But for the moment, it's being left on the table in favor of talking with his friend. ♥]

Man, I feel like fuckin' hell... [He moans pitifully and buries his face in the armrest.]

[Eithan sleepily rolls over, blinks at this person he's never seen before, and then--]

What the f--!!

[--jumps into a more upright position, though first he just about falls out of the damn chair. sdjfakl]

Hey-- hey! Hey, whoa, what-- who--! [He's looking back and forth between Doc, the scanner, back to Doc, back to the scanner... because that thing looks like a weird alien gun right out of a sci-fi flick, and he looks like a weird dude in armor, and is this a fever dream or something...?]

[Medical officer is a little less scary than dude-in-armor-with-an-alien-gun, so that calms him down a little bit. Though at the barrage of questions, he's still stuck giving Doc a wide-eyed look, eyebrows raised.]

Uh... Yeah, dizzy. Not numb, but-- nerve damage? Wh-- No. No, 's just... a cough. Yeah, congestion. That.

[Okay, so he's still frazzled. And old-timey cough syrup had a lot of alcohol in it, you know...]

[How pitiful.

As tempted as Vidia is to simply leave him be, there is some spark of goodwill in her. Blaming it on the holiday season, she picks up the blanket and drapes it around him. She can't resist a small murmur, though.]

You're welcome.

Mm, thanks, lady.

[It's mumbled, and not very coherent. Clearly he's out of it... but he does manage to look up and give her a half-smile. Then he coughs, and buries his face in the armrest all over again. Ugh, being sick sucks...]
