What purpose is this experiment meant to serve? Just showing off? Really? Demonstrating control through removing proper mental control? Cute, Malnosso. Very cute. It's not as if I--NO. NO. *****

[And then it switches to this. Yes, the Master is purposefully and rather angrily thinking in Gallifreyan. Which...well...YES the Doctor will be able to ( Read more... )

Enjoy your sadistic little jollies while you can, this will probably all go away soon.
{||Gallifreyan:||It had better. Rather draining having to actively turn off all the cerebral centers for thought time and time again. But I suppose I can think around you now, can't I? }

Oh come on, you don't think it's funny at all?

~You're turning them off? Ooh, you're really quite bad at this. Maybe you should have paid more attention in class.~ [Overlay of ink.] ~How are you getting anything done?~

Not in the slightest. More like utterly ridiculous.
{It's certainly better than having to cover everything up. Besides, no one deserves a universal encyclopedia thrown at their heads every few seconds. -And you leave my ranks at the Academy out of this! Blimey..}

Spoilsport.

~I'm multitasking. You're stifling your brain. Actually, I wonder. If you just let yourself think, would you eventually be surrounded by a cloud of indecipherable words? I think you should try it and see.

I'll bring the ranks into the conversation as soon as they're relevant. And they are. Which of us is better at mind control? There's a reason.~

You wouldn't dare. Not her.

Have to tell the Doctor, we've got to get her away from him, as fast as... [And the rest of the sentence turns to gibberish as Jack desperately tries to block his thoughts away.]

Don't presume to tell me what I wouldn't do. Oh, and go on, tell the Doctor. Won't it be fun to watch his reaction when he arrives to find his daughter dead. ~I almost wish...~ Ooh! Or better, I'll cut out the middleman and just amuse myself with the Doctor directly. He's bound to make at least as good of an experimental subject.

I won't let you have him, not again. You've done enough to him already!

He's lying, he has to be. [Jack is frantically looking through the house, not finding Jenny...] But she's not here...

[He makes a quick post, hoping to hear from Jenny, that she'll be safe and away from the Master.]

So, it's a research subject you want, huh? Would'a thought you'd have enough of me after the Valiant.

Aww. Sweet. I knew I could count on you.

Well, you know how it is. Suddenly you're trapped in a tiny section of an alternate universe where you've been experimented on and it suddenly becomes clear that what you really need in order to understand the place better is an immortal Freak who can't die on whom you can experiment. As one does.

That's an interesting language. -[In return the Master can see a jumble of numbers, a code of some sort, and oddly enough an apple, before it's covered by code again.]-

I'm really not surprised.

As in "share the name of your language".

What makes you so certain it's meant to achieve anything?

All experiments have a purpose. Even if it's trivial. And ridiculous.

Assuming it is an experiment and not some accident.

Ooh, and then there is that. Something gone wrong. Then the question is, what were they trying to do?

The experiment's probably not because of what happened so much as that it did happen.

...pardon?

The experiment's the result of a Shift. What it does probably more relevant than what we do once it happens.
