Geez. Have i gotten used to it or what. This xmas seemed a little lonely this time. No one to exchange gifts with. No one to have a drink with. No one to hug or kiss. Simple enough im not the only one with the same type of dilemma. Its cool though my head steady bobbin. Its raining here as xmas passes 0023 now on the 26th. I found a DJ ( Read more... )

Yaa, it's poignant. hfx_ben December 25 2006, 17:06:06 UTC
I've had some really good Christmas ... gathered with wife and 5 kids around the tree we had harvested from the trees on the other side of our brook ... so being solo is, well, let's say "poignant".

Glad to hear you've hooked up with dharma. It sure ain't no sorta quick and easy self-improvement program, but it's solid. Are you anywhere near a meditation center? I love the philosophy. *looks as the full library shelf8 But bottom line it's about bum on seat ... watching the mind is what makes it other than yada-yada-bla-blah.

all the best

Hmm after reading through it does seem to get repetitive. There are some key points though not to miss. Hmmm meditation center.... probably have to find some temple where tourists stare me down or nationals ask wtf is this gaijin doing.

Hunh?
Maybe you mis-read me ... I didn't mean to say anything about your stuff being repetitive, not at all.

Hey, some Soto temples are pret'near 5-star tourist destinations! Really ... the top ones you get a lovely room and absolutely magnificent cuisine, the smaller ones heh you might even see some actual Zen.

Truly: if you can get some inside skinny the gaijin thing won't weigh against you. Much.

best of '07 to you
