This day was turning out much more eventful that Methos had ever imagined it might. He'd reluctantly agreed to meet with another researcher working for the Watchers in order to assist on a portion of their research. He wasn't about to argue due to the higher ups dissatisfaction with his lack of progress on the Methos chronicle ( Read more... )

Kate had been working for the Watchers for many years now. She had joined them the same way most had - quite by accident. Too curious for her own good, she had been led into a society built on centuries of research, of understanding a cause far greater than her own. Years later, she had become an experienced member of the team, and her time on the field had led her to taking on one of the more intriguing cases in the Paris branch ( ... )

He smiled as he stepped inside the office, looking around at the strewn about books and notes, "Don't worry about it, you should take a look at my office, it makes your office look immaculate."

Methos hands in his pockets, looked down at a set of notes on a side table, "So, they tell me you're working on researching an Immortal that met have met Methos?"

She found that hard to believe, but didn't pass comment, instead smiling at him in that self-depreciating away that thanked him for his understanding. Giving up her attempt to straighten things out, she nodded her head, going to pick up one of the files she had been looking through. She selected a sheet and passed it over to him, talking as she did.

"Yes, it seems our Immortals have crossed paths before, interesting, given neither of them lost their heads." She looked towards him, trying to gauge his expression to see his take on that.

"It's not impossible, but it is uncommon. Especially when they're as old as this." She smiled to herself, quietly proud of the fact she had this case. "She's the Eve to your Adam."

He took the sheet, looking it over, looking at the record of the meeting based on the Watcher's notes from 54 AD in the British Aisles. She'd definitely note the surprise in his expression, but it was for a different reason than she'd expected.

Who could they be talking about? Methos racked his brain as he continued to read on.

"Perhaps uncommon only because there aren't many meetings between very old Immortals. Being as old as they are, perhaps they have better things to do that fight." he smiled lightly, "Based on what I've read, Methos does his best to avoid a fight rather than seek it out. Such is the reason that he ever became so old. It may be the same with this woman?"
