Pottery Festival

Saturday was my first official pottery show, where I had my own booth and everything. It was held at the Meier's Wine Cellars from 12-6, and it was a blast. Very very hot and very very fun.

Out of curiosity, about how much do you need to sell to break even?

"Breaking even" is so very relative. If we count cost of clay, then probably $100. If we also count the cost of classes that include firing and glazes, probably $1700. If we also include the time it took me to make these, probably $2200. But I'm not sweating it.

waaaaa!!!!!
i would really like some nice serving bowls and platters. i love to make family style meals, but have nothing to serve them on. i can never find anything that just strikes me the right way when i go out shopping.
