The dude in the saggy jorts and crusty baseball cap who thought he was going to barge in front of me at the refrigerated section in Aldi's.  Oh, did I plant my booted heel in your instep? I'm so clumsy ( Read more... )

Your rage is strong today. Perhaps you could channel that force for good and blast Donald Trump to smithereens... ? :-)

If I had that power, I would have done so already. Or no, I would wait until he had a few more delegates, just enough to force Cruz out of the race and THEN I would blow him up. It's been a long, long time since there's been a presidential election this frightening.

Looks pretty scary from this side of the pond too right now. But hey, England will probably have voted the UK out of the EU by the time your presidential election takes place. We'll be too busy ruing that day to notice what's going on in the rest of the world. And the rest of the world won't be very interested in us... *sigh*

I persisted in my belief that Trump was just a joke and by the time the election neared surely everyone else would realize it as well, but nope. I seriously underestimated the power of stupidity, racism and irrational fear fueled by the media. Everyone "other" is wrong and scary and a threat to our good ol' red, white and blue American values and there are apparently a lot more misguided voters in the U.S. than I imagined.

And the whole EU thing is so complex and leaving the union may have repercussions that not even the experts can foresee and it seems too complicated an issue to put to a vote. The international stage is going to be mighty interesting this year.

I'm going to imagine that and it will make me feel so much better about actually getting physical with the guy. I'm going to imagine he was the one who crafted the letter implying that we were all idiots for filing our taxes early and that the problem could have been avoided if we'd waited for all the proper paperwork before filing. No, the problem could have been avoided if you'd actually sent out 2015 forms instead of using the data from 2014, you cretins. Oops, there I go again.

Considering that I really wanted to drive his head into my knee and then break a carton of eggs over his quivering form, I think I restrained myself fairly well. I do have a temper sometimes. :)

I could have powered a small bonfire with the force of my rage yesterday. Today I'm pretty mellow. Changeable weather and all that.
