"Hi. The Searchers. Start with the slightly less problematic one." He smiles, leans in to give Sallie a rather noncommittal kiss on the cheek, and heads to the DVD player.
"Which makes the other one sound even more ominous than its own title," Sallie remarks, shutting the door behind Charlie once he's entered and traipses off to the kitchen to acquire a couple cans of ginger ale and the popped corn that Mike instructed her is rather a staple in these sorts of affairs.
The bowl goes on the endtable being used as a central spot in the living area and Sallie curls her feet up under her on one side of the sofa across the room from the television. "I'm glad you know what you're doing with that - Mike said it was working fine, but I haven't played with it."
"I learned a good deal about all kinds of consumer technology the last few years of my life. I can even program a VCR." Which he knows means nothing to her. Or to anyone else, in the age of the DVD.
